The NuArt festival is an international contemporary street and urban art festival held annually in Stavanger, Norway since 2001.
A brief visit in September this year revealed a lot of text-based art around the Norwegian city by artist Robert Montgomery.
Robert was born in Scotland but now lives in London and here we can see the artist’s trademark text making a huge statement on this house.
His biggest commission for the festival was deep in the heart of a leafy suburb on the side of a three story traditional wooden house.
Post Brexit this piece touches on numerous current day issues throughout Europe with the hyphens helping you navigate through the verse.
Not only is the artist used to large painting commissions but also adds some of his own poetry to walls and takes over billboards aka ‘Ad busting’
