One of the longest established painting crews in Cardiff assembled recently to paint the biggest wall along the graffiti lanes of Elm Street in the Roath part of the city.
Firstly the previous works were covered up with a solid blue base to allow the next masterpiece to begin.
Luckily each artist detailed the progress from the start on their Instagram accounts.
Local artists Rmer, Hoxer, Sokemone and Karmone joined together for this tribute to creator of Nightmare on Elm Street, Wes Craven, who had died earlier in August 2015.
They had painted this silhoutted Freddie Krueger character with razor sharp fingers on the left hand side of the giant work.
The vast blue space was quickly filled with some elaborate wildstyle names in the same colours.
The familiar Nightmare on Elm Street branding was amended to read Cruel Vapours on Elm Street and jumped off the wall in bright orange. (Interesting to see how that C and R have changed!)
Which then only left the middle space for another fantastic character from Rmer – looking like Nancy Thompson from the film.
And also leaving room for a scene from the film featuring that cul-de-sac where all the torment took place.
