A random visit to a disused building in the north of the city and obvious signs of nature totally taking over this derelict farmhouse.
A little rummage around and what looked like a character began to appear from the wilderness on one of the crumbling concrete walls.
Distinct in style and one of the last pieces of street art from Colour Doomed in Cardiff.
Painted back in May 2016 the artist posted a picture on his Instagram feed and illustrates how much nature has taken it’s course over the short period since.
Titled ‘Listening Out’ the artist has painted this man totally concentrating on listening out – for what? We may never know!
Previously Colour Doomed had visited the same site and painted some soldiers on an adjacent wall where you can view the original images on the link below:-
But now two years later with a continuous attack from the weather – it’s not just the structure that is rapidly falling apart.
It crazy to see how the brickwork has been affect resulting in large chunks falling off and adding a further dimension to Colour Doomed’s work here.
It’s always great to unearth some new work in hidden places and even better revisiting some old work that continues to age gracefully.
