Sokar Uno is a painter and street artist who has travelled from Germany to visit the Upfest street art festival in Bristol.
Painting on a light terracota coloured wall set just off Bedminster’s high street – he began by painting the framework for his sprawling character.
The statue-like figure was then painted in tones of teal complete with a dripping paint effect.
It almost looked complete but there were a few arrows still waiting for attention from the artist.
Painting over the 2-day street art festival the artist then added some orange lines and effects to the feet and other areas – along with some holes in the shell too.
(I originally thought this outline was for further work but then realised this is part of his trademark styling! ooops!!)
Work continued to complete the arrow heads and add more bits of broken shell to the statue.
Even more detail and highlights were also added to the face to complete the draping figure on a dislodged chair.
Once the work was complete it was time to add the all important signature – firstly spacing marks were applied for each letter before being accurately and carefully filled in letter-by-letter.
What a glorious piece of work from Sokar Uno and a great addition to the work for The Upfest street art festival in Bristol.
