The latest street art event to be held in Cardiff took place right next to the Millennium Stadium over a weekend in March.
The two day event was called the ‘Back to Nature Paint Jam’ and was organised by local artist Amelia ‘Unity’ Thomas.
It was held to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8th with around 30 invited artists painting along the Millennium Walkway situated next to the Millennium Stadium in the capital.

Around 30 artists arrived from Cardiff, Bristol and London to paint around the theme of Women or Nature.
Below is the next selection of artwork created with some work in progress pictures and some final pictures too – complete with some links to each artists website.
First up was work from Amok, News and Amoe firstly blocking out the previous work and then outlining their detailed pieces throughout the day.
Moving along and Bristol based artist Jee See worked on this fantastic character complete with trademark dripping eye.
Painting on a light blue background was artist Mr Sleven – who painted this amazing character with loads of flowing green hair.
Always great to see the art take shape and see how pieces develop and how much work goes into layering up certain colours or textures. Here all those shapes, colours and splashes work really well in the ‘forest hair’
Painting next to Mr Sleven was Skor 85 who carried on the nature theme with this striking abstract dog.
A whole range of artists turned up during the day including Dusk, Sega and BNIE whom all painted along the Millennium Walkway.
It wasn’t just a paint jam but also a stencil jam. Bizzy turned up after spending many hours (and possibly days) preparing all the different stencils to allow her to paint and produce her piece over the day.
She began by plotting a few marks on the wall and then added each colour layer by layer. Using loads of newspaper and masking tape to ensure no spill occurred between layers.
It wasn’t only Bizzy who brought along some stencils as they featured along the whole wall by other artists too.
A fantastic day was had by all and some amazing artwork now surrounds the Millennium Stadium.
