Granny Paint

Millennium Walkway street art

On a chilly mid-January day locally based artist Millimagic and a friend took to the Millennium Walkway outside the now newly named Principality Stadium (Ok we are all going to keep calling it The Millennium!)

A new year and a new lease of life for the walkway which previously hosted artwork for the 2015 Rugby World Cup last year and now it’s gradually getting replaced by more street art from artists in Cardiff.

Whilst Millimagic painted on the left an unknown artist painted to the right – the work looks familiar but I’ve never been able to correctly ID it – any help would be appreciated!

Millimagic aka Amelia ‘Unity’ Thomas features a granny all wrapped up in a thick green coat whilst putting the finishing touches to painting the ‘UNITY’ moniker to the left.

A really calming lavender colour with a mix of pink, purple and green tones to kick the year off.

Well maybe last year – it’s always really hard at the start of the year when you have to write down the new current year for the first time!
It happens to us all! 😉 Noone would’ve ever known!

And so next to Millimagic’s work are these geometric letters in similar pink and purple colours.

This artist’s work has been popping up around Cardiff a few times recently but I’ve never been able to successfully ID the artist – does that read Ninja?

More great work popping up on this walkway which hopefully will now become a permanent fixture for street art in Cardiff!
PS Any names on the other artist would be appreciated – thanks.
