Taff Snail

The Taff Trail is a route which connects Cardiff and Brecon and generally follows the path of the River Taff between both locations.

It not only attracts a whole host of walkers, runners and cyclists but also attracts a range of street art along certain parts of the route too.

Graffiti around Cardiff.

Even though high quality street art is littered along the route some facility boxes still attract a lot of tagging like this one near Forest Farm in Whitchurch.

But luckily one local artist has painted this particular box and brought it back to life.

Amelia ‘Unity’ Thomas has transformed this box by adding a snail with a bright pink shell featuring some windows, a ladder and front door and has titled the piece ‘The Taff Snail’

Set on a small road with cyclists and horses whizzing by – the snail’s pace is the best way to experience parts of this leafy trail.

No signature or tag on this one from the artist but just the word ‘Peace’ featured on the side of the now eye-catching facility box.
Imagine an official ‘art trail’ up this route totally brightening up areas that currently don’t look their best? More please!
