Blondie bombshell

A totally striking piece of street art that was painted back in 2012 but with no certainty that it had survived or was still intact now in 2015 – also the location was still a bit of a mystery.

Photographs of this beauty have been circulating online for a few years now but has always escaped the DiffGraff cameras… until now.

One day whilst attempting to take a short cut between Splott and the Elm Street lanes it unearthed this stunning work on a back street lane just off Newport Road in Cardiff.

Featuring a larger than life painting of Blondie aka Debbie Harry on the left with some massive jelly-coloured camoflaged bubble letters spelling ‘Dyskie‘ to the right.

Signed by artists Squid and Dyskie this collab is still in pretty good condition today. Loads of different spellings of Dyskie, Discie and even some other work around Cardiff with just Disc!

Below is a photo taken by the writers themselves back in September 2012
(proving that Blondie is ageing VERY well!)

And the guys worked together on another wall in Hailey Park and even made a timelapse video of it too.
