The lanes just off City Road have always been a major draw for graffiti and street artists alike and have always attracted a wide selection of artists from the taggers upto professional artists.
A mix of work ranging from giant pieces on full length walls from the likes of Colourdoomed and Phil Morgan to much smaller intricate pieces by HB and throw ups, burners and tags from everyone else.
This alley is a good reflection on the street art and graffiti scene in Cardiff and will be a real shame once either end of the alleyway is gated thus allowing only residents and workers access.
Locally known as ‘Gremlin Alley’ it was great to see some new work appearing here before the closure. This stunning piece of Bob Marley now proudly stands opposite one of the working garages in the alleyway.
The Jamaican singer is depicted in paint smoking a cigarette…well one of those Jamaican special blends!
If anyone know’s the artist behind this one please get in contact.
It will be a real shame when access to this lane is shut with access only available via Milgi.
