Corpse gawp

Hailing from Derby in the north of England – street artist Corpse is continually sharing his talent in cities across Britain with his latest stop at the Welsh capital.

Two major pieces appeared in the Roath area of Cardiff recently featuring Corpse’s trademark styling of a large face and body all created using a multitude of materials and techniques.

The first paste-up was near Lowther Road bridge on a textured brick wall and looks almost airbrushed with vibrant colours, scribbled crayoning and even the use of some felt tip pens – to create this visual mashup.

What a fantastic addition to an otherwise uninteresting wall.
Located just a minute’s walk away is the second piece set amongst an area that has been a magnet for great street art for a while now.

Previously featuring work from the likes of Colourdoomed, HB, Run and 3dom – here Corpse joins this ever-growing wall of fame!

Set on a wall accompanied by vintage work from Hoxe and Rmer this pasteup leads you neatly into the gulley (as we call them around here) onto City Road.

Once again a mixture of materials and techniques has been used to create this layered look and overall daunting effect.

Menacingly peering out behind the wall this piece also leads you onto the infamous ‘Gremlin Alley’ and another location for street art and graffiti in Cardiff.
