A known magnet for graffiti and street artists from around the local area – the Northcote Lanes set just off City Road still attract an ever changing range of work.
Remnants of old work from Colourdoomed, Ekstraternek, Phil Morgan and SPK can still be found amongst the many tags and throw ups plastered amongst the labrynth of breesed blocked walls and garage doors.
Much larger work from MK, Amok, Amoe, Raes and Fokus can be seen on the old ‘Spin Centre’ building which is falling into a poor state of repair.
Some pieces of work last many months (if not years) whereas others can only last days before new work appears. Here it looks like Resh has booked this wall, prepared it and ‘will be back at 2pm‘ to create another masterpiece.
Due to the strong winds back at the start of January a few hoardings had been blown down resulting in Colourdoomed’s chicken torn off the wall.
Now in a sorry state these colourful chickens are no longer ruling the roost. But luckily two new pieces of street art by the artist have recently appeared in the alley.
These two men casually watch everyday life in the lane known locally as ‘Gremlin Alley’ and add to the rich tapestry and variety of work on display here. (more please!)
