City of Colours: Colour Doomed

The City of Colours festival is predominently a street art festival held in Birmingham attracting talent from across the city and from the whole of the UK.

On the 6th September 9,000 people took to the streets of Digbeth, Birmingham when it was transformed into one of the UK’s largest outdoor art galleries – a celebration of urban art forms, the streets were turned into a sea of colour.”

One Cardiff-based artist who attended was Colour Doomed whom was given some bricked up arches beneath a derelict railway track to paint on.

I don’t think I’ll even attempt to describe what has been painted but there are the ever familiar small yellow men dotted around the piece too.

So much fantastic work was created for the City of Colours festival and it’s still well worth a visit to see them all up close – especially taking a trip around the corner from the main site and discovering this masterpiece too!
Looks like even HB couldnt resist joining in aswell!
