Colour Britain

A series of unique artworks by leading illustrators has been unveiled across the UK – including one in Cardiff set on Working Street.

The ‘Colour Britain’ project aims to bring to life colourful stories from the cities where they’ve been placed, bringing splashes of colour to unusual locations.”

Renowned illustrators Annu Kilpelainen, Adrian Johnson and Emily Forgot have collaborated with Dulux on the ‘Colour Britain’ project to celebrate interesting stories of history, heritage, colour and culture.

Residents from seven cities were polled to discover their favourite sights, stories and colours, which formed inspiration for seven unique pieces of artwork.

Here in Cardiff Adrian Johnson took inspiration from the world’s oldest record shop, Spillers, Cardiff Castle’s elaborate ceiling designs and from other landmarks around the city too.

Can you spot a peacock, fish and even Billy the seal?

Luckily Dulux filmed the whole event and has uploaded the video to their Youtube channel.
