By the river’s of Taff-y-lon

Something caught my eye beneath Cardiff Bridge running over Cardiff’s River Taff (even though everyone locally calls it Canton Bridge for some reason!)
On closer inspection there was some art adorning the rough stone walls running under the bridge and along the Taff Trail route in parellel to the river.

First up was a hugely colourful wall of stones painted in a selection of bright colours with the Millennium Stadium set in the background.

Cleverly the paint has run between stones to create a rather nifty effect!

Looking up then revealed a set of small characters almost swimming away from this coloured wall painted onto the more modern reinforced concrete structure above.

And as if that wasn’t enough the vertical concrete pillar was decorated with a bright pink pattern almost appearing as some modern hieroglyphics!

Does anyone know who painted this street art and what it represents? Was it for some charity event?
