Artist Colour Doomed has been busy again adding a huge piece across some wooden hoardings to the front of the old Spin Centre on City Road in Cardiff.
The building has become derelict over the last few years with graffiti and street artists targetting the area providing tags, throw ups and some amazing street art – just like this piece!
Titled by the artist as ‘Establishment Chicken Coop’ it features an almost monochrome chicken coop holding a person, whilst another one is stood outside – with another two larger military type characters controlling the roost!
When I managed to capture this piece of street art it was unfinished with some characters still only appearing as an outline sketch on the distinct red background.
Below you can still see the untouched wood showing through the person’s digging hands!
Another person is shown digging a hole whilst another is striking some sort of drum whilst wearing a rather pointy hat! (Dreaming of war?)
So rather annoyingly someone has come along and totally spoilt this piece by sprawling ‘Zevoh’ across it only days after it was finished!
Luckily Colour Doomed himself managed to capture this in all it’s beauty before the damage and what a totally interesting and intriguing piece it is!
