Dscreet and Run on Grimsby Street

Set between a busy railway line and Brick Lane in the trendy Shoreditch area of London is a back lane called Grimsby Street (that makes it a street not a lane then!!??) and is this huge canvas stretching about 20 metres.

A huge piece by Dscreet fills one end of the wall featuring two of his iconic owls along with two smoking skulls.
There is also an RIP sign paying tribute to Lee and Muz. The colours are all rather golden and muted.

Nestling next to this piece was a creation from Italy street artist Run. He always features something a little bit off the wall and abstract – and he doesn’t let us down here!

This time featuring a businessman sporting a suit and tie but positioned upside down balancing on his head!

I quite liked the way the piece has been constructed so that the boiler outlet pipe expells steam randomly from the character’s face!

There was also a small sign attached to the metal post next to this reading

“WARNING Trained monkey in operation”

Not much colour in this one either apart from the teal skin. Great to see the tie featuring all those different currencies – I wonder if there is a message in this piece?
